Before The Beachclub - Parksville’s Island Hall Hotel

A proud tradition: Parksville's Island Hall Resort

Parksville has a historical legacy of offering picturesque accommodation choices paired with incredible natural vistas. The Beach Club Resort is proud to be part of this legacy, as the resort has been built on the former site of the famous Island Hall Resort. The Island Hall opened in 1917, built by British entrepreneurs Joan Foster and Winnifred Philpott who came to Vancouver Island at the start of World War One. The resort then became one of Parksville’s flagship accommodation destinations for the next 80 years.

The Island Hall proudly hosted guests from around the world, including Queen Elizabeth II and Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, founder of the International Mediation Society. The Beach Club Resort, which opened it’s doors in the spring of 2008, now features an extensive Island Hall memorabilia wall on the main floor. The resort looks forward to continuing the legacy left by The Island Hall Resort by offering a memorable vacation experience to each and every guest, providing superior accommodations for guests and families who have chosen this location as their vacation destination for generations.
